I think the most annoying word that I have heard in years is "whatever". I have done a little research on this and here is a little of what I came up with.
From Wikopedia: whatever (slang) an expression of (reluctant) agreement, indifference, or begrudging compliance.
Urban Dictionary: uttered in a derisive and dismissive tone , in responce to a confrontation or accusation which has been judged to be unimpressive, obnoxious ,or disingenuous. Often used to dismiss someone when it is clear that rational discussion would be a waste of time and energy.
